Sleek Shells by perj132 Sleek Shells by perj132
My first gnome shell theme displayed with one of my own wallpapers.

I made this because I just couldn't a shell theme that hit all the spots that I like. Hope you enjoy it!

The aim was to be subtle and minimal

-Full transparency for the top panel

-bottom panel is transparent, with a slight gradient sort of like the the notification bar.

-Shells pop out of the corner..................ah.

-better for darker wallpapers-or just non white wallpapers

-works with gnome 3.2!!

To install simply extract to your .themes folder in your home folder, then use gnome tweak tool to set it!

-wallpaper is available in my gallery [link]

Yo, how did you modify the tray in Mint 12 to reduce all those icons? I'm using AWN and would like to use its systray but don't know how.

mmmmm, I'm not sure what you mean. Could you explain it a bit further, I may or may not be able to help you

I see on the screenshot the top right bar doesn't include all those system tray icons like they are present in Mint 12 by default. I'm looking for way to disable the top right tray entirely, or somehow reduce the count of items shown.

Alright I get you now. Well i made you a quick 2 minute fix, I will look into actually removing everything later in the week. I sent it to you as a note because its long and involves changing the css file.

well if you want garden gnomes go into .themes and open Sleek Shells/Gnome Shell. In that folder there is the picture of a shell called corner-ripple-ltr.png back that up on your comp. then open gimp with a new image 52x52 with a transparent background. You can put what ever you want in there (gnomes, your face ect) and just export it to the sleek shells file as "corner-ripple-ltr.png". Can be kind of fun!
